San José de la Montaña

Small community located at the slopes of the Barva volcano. Going uphill from the town of Barva in Heredia, you will encounter the village of San Jose de la Montaña.

This small community, located at the slopes of the Barva volcano, works mainly in dairy farms, forestry projects, and flower farms found on these fertile lands.

Amazing views of the Central Valley can be appreciated, and in some spots, you can even see the Pacific Ocean from there.
