The Trogon Lodge is part of the Los Santos Forest Reserve located alongside the Savegre River. The area is part of San Gerardo de Dota.
This reserve is the year-round home for the resplendent quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno) and many other varieties of birds like trogons, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, etc.
A must-visit area for nature enthusiasts, bird watchers, hikers, and the like.
