National Theatre of Costa Rica in San Jose The National Theatre of Costa Rica was completed in 1897.
It was possible to build this Costa Rican architectural jewel thanks to the generosity of the coffee farmers that imposed a tax on themselves to build it.
It is now the center of cultural activity in San Jose and it is constantly offering performances and concerts of all kinds.
