Museo Nacional de Costa Rica The National Museum of Costa Rica was created on May 4, 1887.
The main purpose was to provide a public institution to collect, classify, and study natural and artistic products from Costa Rica.

The Museum has focused on scientific investigation, education, exhibitions, and the preservation of the cultural and natural heritage of Costa Rica.
