The highway to Limon goes across this magnificent natural park. You can see rivers and waterfalls that appear on both sides of the highway.
There are many restaurants before you come to the park, and many Costa Rican truck drivers and travellers stop there to eat their "Gallo Pinto" for breakfast before the road ventures into the park.
Once you cross the mountains and go through the Zurqui tunnel you start coming down to the Atlantic region of Costa Rica.
From there, you can head north to the Sarapiqui river region or keep on going west to Limon, Cahuita, or the Tortuguero cannals.
Lots of interesting places and natural wonders await you on whatever road you might decide to take.
